The first line chart compares the proportion of families from a same country owning three disntict kinds of electrical appliances from 1920 to 2109. The second line chart illustrates the trend of time spent on housework in households of one country during the same period.

It is noticeable that more families owned electric machines in their house and every family in the country had a refrigerator and a vacuum cleaner. At the same time, people spent less time on housework.

In 1920, there was no families that preferred to have a refrigerator while the demand of refrigerators had a big increase in the further 60 years, the owning proportion of refrigerators reached 100%. Vacuum cleaners had the same trend and achived 100% posession in 2000. The requirement of washing machines rose to the first peak in 1960, with 70% posession and had a decrease in 1980 by 6%. After 1980, the number of households owning washing machines rose at a stable rate, with 74% in 2019.

The second chart shows a decline of hours spending on housework since 1920. At first each family spent 50 hours a week doing housework, and this figure decreased significantly in the next 40 years, with 20 hours per week. The speed of declined time slow down after 1960, and decreased to 10 hours per week on housework in 2019.
