The pie chart illustrates the percentage of five kinds of energy production of France in 1995 and 2005.
In general, it can be seen that the proportion of Petro production decreased, the opposite was true for other categories. Besides, the figure for coal was the highest during the period.
To begin with, in 1995, the figure for coal is similar to gas, about 30% each. After 10 years, the percentages of energy produced for coal and gas rose slightly to 30.93% and 30.31% respectively. By contract, the figure for Petro saw a reversed pattern in which it dropped from 29.27% in 1995 to just 19.55% in 2005.
Moving on with regard to the other energy, 2005 witnessed a gradual growth in the figure for nuclear of 3.6% from 6.4% in 1995. Also, starting at 4.9% in 1995, the proportion of other energy generated climbed minimally to 10.10% in 2005. However, nuclear and “other” still remained at the bottom of the percentage of energy production over the period.
