The pie-graph illustrates how much money that the average family spent at restaurants in four different years representing in a percentage. The other graph provides information about the number of meals that people had in sit-down and fast food restaurants.

Overall, the percentage of the budget to spend on restaurant meals increased yearly, while the percentage of the other type declined. Moreover, the majority of the family spent their time eating in fast food restaurants between 1970 to 1980, after that period the number of meals at sitdown restaurant become greater.

Looking first at the pie chart, accounting for 90 %, the percentage of food budget spending on restaurant meals was nine times higher than home cooking in 1980. However, there was a jump for the budget of home cooing by 5, 20 and 15 % in 1980, 1998 and 2000 respectively. Ultimately, it covered exactly half of the area in the graph in 2000.

Turning to the line-graph, before intersecting with the number of meals having at sitdown restaurant at about 35 meals in 1980, the number of meals eating at fast food restaurants was almost 20 meals. It then leaped by more than three-fold standing over the number of meals consuming at sit-down restaurants by about 50 meals in 2000 (fast food meals at 90 meals and sitdown restaurant at 50 %).
