The pie charts depict the information about the proportion of water utilised for various purposes in six continents of the world.

Overall, the data shows that the maximum consumption of water is in agricultural activities in Central Asia, whereas, the least amount of water is consumed in industrial purpose.

Similarly, areas namely Africa and South East Asia utilise water mainly for agricultural purposes where it contributes a significantly large part as compared to other activities. The water consumed by Africa for industrial use accounts for a total of 7% , while, South East Asia witnessed a trend up to 12% for the consumption of water. Moreover, the least consumption of water is for domestic purposes in South East Asia, whereas, there is a minor increment in the figures for the similar use in Africa.

Furthermore, North America and Europe utilise majority of water for industrial purpose, whereas, South America consumes water mainly for agricultural use. The requirement of water in domestic cores is significantly low in these three continents. The proportion of agricultural use in North America and Europe are to some extent equal. Also, the consumption of water for industrial use accounts for the minority in South America.
