The charts below show the proportions of British students at one university in English who were able to speak other languages in addition to English in 200 and 2010

The given pie charts statistically illustrate the number of British pupils, who could speak various languages including, Spanish, French as well as German. Data was provided from one university in England in two separate years.

Looking from an overall perspective, it is apparent from the information provided, that British students were highly interested in Spanish language in both years. Moreover, it is noticeable that learning foreign languages was given more importance by British students over a period of ten years.

It is palpable from these diagrams that, there was a decrease of 5 percent in number of students who could speak French. On the strike contrast, number of tree-lingual students witnessed a considerable increase of 5 percent during these ten-year period.

Taking a precise glance on other changes, it is notable that in 2000, 30percent were able to speak Spanish besides 10 percent spoke German. Ten years later, Spanish speakers experienced a rise of 5 percent, however the figure for German speakers remained steady at previous percent.
