The charts below show the result of a survey of adult education. The first chart shows the reason why adults decide to study. The pie chart shows how people think the costs of adult education should be shared.
The bar graph and pie chart illustrate the outcomes of a study conducted to show the factors behind adult education and views of the participants on the division of course fees respectively. Overall, it can be said that the major reason to undertake adult education is simply the interest shown in the subject by the individuals. However, majority of participants opine that the individuals themselves must pay the costs of the course.
It is evident that the most common objective to study was the interest in the subject which is shown by 40% of the adults. Nonetheless, 38% of participants consider qualification as a driving motive to take up adult education. At least 12% of the individuals chose easy job migration as reason to study as an adult. However, only 9% of the people decided to study in order to meet new people.
Moving further, 22% of participants chose their existing job as an objective to partake in adult education. However, there were an equal proportion of people, 20% who wanted to study as an adult because they either enjoyed the subject or considered it essential for their promotion. When it comes to the division of the costs, 40% of the participants chose to pay for the course themselves but 35% prefer their employers to cover these costs. However, a quarter of individuals opine that the cost must compensate for the tax levied.
