The following charts represent exports figures of 2010 for four categories of fresh fruits by different countries.
Based on the diagram, exports are discussed for oranges, lemons, grapefruits and other types of citrus fruits. While the latter is mainly exported by Mexico, others show distributed figures among different providers.
As mentioned before, Mexico is accounted as the main exporter of citrus fruits, except for the three abovementioned categories, by 450 thousand metric tons. The other two providers of this group are Israel and the United States, by negligible amounts. Whereas the US is also one of the main exporters of orange and grapefruit, coupled with South Africa. Two countries provide 225 thousand metric tons of grapefruit each, followed by Turkey who exports 175 thousand tons.
On the other hand, South Africa stands at first place in orange exports, by one million tons and the united states occupies the third position by 700 thousand. The second level is also comprised of Egypt by 900 thousand tons. Turkey and Mexico are also two main exporters of lemon by the provision of 500 and 450 thousand tons respectively, Besides, 275 thousand tons of lemon are also provided by Argentina.
