Overall, it is clear that the figures had an increasing trend between 2000 and 2012. Nevertheless, the proportion of tuition fee which was contributed by male students was significantly higher than that of their counterparts.
In 2000, about 7 million dollars was paid by girls, compared to roughly 9 million dollars of boys. After four years, in 2004, students witnessed a double growth of the expenditure, precisely 20 million dollars and approximately 13 million dollars of males and females, respectively.
In the 2008-2012 period, the amount of money was spent on higher education continuously experienced a steady increase, in which the figure of males in 2008 increased from around 27 million dollars to over 30 million dollars in 2012, while that of females also had a rise from roughly 13 million dollars to exactly 20 million dollars at the same time.
