The charts show world pineapple exports by the top three pineapple-producing countries in 2009 and 2019, and a breakdown of the cost to the consumer of each pineapple in 2019.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

The charts delivers information about the amount of exported pineapple by the top three producers in the world in two given years. The below pie chart also depicts the cost to the consumer on a pineapple, measured by percentage, in 2019.

Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that country B exported the most pineapples in 2009 before country A became the leading exporter in 2009. Country C, however, had the least amount of pineapples exported in both given years. In addition, 2019 statistics show that producers spent the most expenditure on distribution and retail while export costs accounted for the least of cost.

In 2009, approximately 1,6 metric tonnes of pineapples were exported by country A, which was only almost one third of country B figures. Surprisingly, there was a ninefold increase in country A's pinapple exports whereas country B experienced a significant drop. Country C remained the least amount between three countries in both years.

Spendings on distribution and retail made up to 35% of total cost while export fees and producer only attributed 4% and 5% respectively. Interestingly, profit accounted for almost one fifth of total expenditure.
