he map illustrates west park secondary school at three different stages in its development over the period from 1950 to 2010. In 1950, the school was built near to the main road and next to a several number of houses. A large areas behind the school was turned into playground, while the area behind the houses was farmland.

It is noticeable that the several houses has demolished in order to make way for a small car park and an additional school building, gained area as a science block in 1980, which has cover a half of land next to a car park. On the other hand, the school also gained the farmland and transformed into a sport field. What is remarkable is the car park extended to cover almost entire area of a land by replacing a sport field in 2010, however playing ground area diminished by sharing less than a half of land with a sport field.

Likewise, It is worth to mentioned that even though there were changes happened, the main road and the school stayed unchanged across the seventy years.
