The given diagram demonstrates the how electricity is generated from water through hydroelectric power station.
Overall , there has been illustrated three to four phases goes on to get electricity from water. And the power station has 24 hour operation, which can be seperated by day and night.
First of all, river flows in to high level reservoir, which is been blocked by dam and it opens only during day to flow the water to generator. And it is closed during night. On the reverse water that has been used goes back to reservoir in night.
Furthermore, the generator has reversible turbine, which pressures water to produce force. In the result of thath generator produces power line, that will be transferred to national grid afterwards. On the bottom part of power station the water that has been used pumped into high level reservoir.
