The diagram below shows how sand dune are formed?
The diagrams illustrate, the creation of sand dunes.
Overall, there are three steps which are involved in the formation of dunes of sand with the help of elements like sand particles, wind direction, wet ground and dry ground. The direction of wind and damp ground play the main role.
First of all, wind direction was towards the south where the sand of different colors was lying both in dry and wet surface. While, in the next stage a lot of sand gathers on wet surface of two different areas where one of it aggregated more than compared to other.
In the final stage, wind blows in various directions where the sand moves toward one direction and start building a giant of sands on the wet surface which form a sand dune. As, one of the sand dune is established so it slows and block the wind to the next sand dune which is nearby to the hilly one. The second sand dune will be smaller after the big one.
