The diagram below shows the process of generating electricity from coal.
The diagram illustrates information about the stages of generating electricity from coal for the power industry.
It can clearly be seen that there are nine steps for electricity manufacturing. At the first step, coal is put into pulverizer from coal supply system and at the last step, the electricity is transformed and transmitted to households and facilities.
At the beginning of the process, as soon as coal is collected from the mine, it is put into the pulverizer which allows coal to be crushed. Next, after being transported through the stack with the dust collection system, pulverized coal is boiled in the boiler. Besides, the ash produced in the boiler is taken to the ash system in order to disposal.
At the following stage in the process, the airflow heated from coal boiling makes the turbine rotate and changes heat energy to kinetic energy which used to run the generator and create electricity. Also, the hot air flow from boiler to the turbine is cooled down by a cooling system with a condenser and blown to the boiler again. In the end, electricity is transitted to the substation with the purpose of being transmitted to households and facilities.
