Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given diagram illustrates the process by which aluminium cans are being recycled.
Overall, the process starts by collecting used cans which are then processed through a number of steps to obtain the recycled product which is ready to use again. In the UK almost three-fourth of the aluminium cans are recycled and thus saves a huge cost of raw material.
Alumnium cans used by people are collected from all over the places with the help of a truck and then stored in a place where they are cleaned and sorted according to different categories. After which they are shredded and compressed in a special machine before heating them to such a temperature that the aluminium comes in its molten state.
After melting, aluminium can be molded into any desired shape. The molten aluminum is rolled to form thick sheets between 2.5mm to 6mm of thickness, subsequently the final shape of the can is given to the rolled sheets. At last, the cans are ready to be used again and are sent to a soft drinks company only to be circulated in the market again.
