The graphic is of a system which produces energy from ocean waves and options for its locations. Overall, energy is generated by a spinning turbine and the output depends on its locations.
As can be seen from the picture, the system has two chambers in which one of them is put halfway in the water and the other contains a turbine connected with an energy generator. Firstly, due to moving waves, the water level would rise up and create an air flow which moves up to the upper room, sets the turbine to a rational motion and then escapes through an open space. Simultaneously, a reverse flow of the air from the upper chamber also enables the turbine to spin. As a result, electricity is produced by the circle motion of the turbine through a generator.
In regard to the location, there are two options to set up a wave energy machine. While offshore built-up systems can deliver a large amount of energy with the help from large waves, the systems that are set up onshore produce a lower output but are less costly to install than the former.
