The graph below gives information from a 2008 report about consumption of energy in the USA since 1980 with projections until 2030.

The line graph aims to compare the utilization of 6 different energy in the USA from 1980 with conjectures until 2030.
Overall, there were a general increase and a rise projection in the consumption of solar/wind, nuclear, natural gas, petrol and oil, and coal while the exhaustion of hydropower saw a decrease. In addition, the depletion of petrol and oil consistently had the highest figure and is expected to have the highest consumption in the future.
About 35 quadrillion units of petrol and oil, and 15 quadrillion units of coal were consumed in 1980, with subsequent growths to approximately 45 and 25 quadrillion units respectively in 2020, and final anticipation to 50 and 30 quadrillion units in 2030. The figures for nuclear and solar/wind were at just under 5 quadrillion units, followed by stability at 5 quadrillion units before being predicted to end the period at around 7 and 6 quadrillion units.
The consumption of natural gas started at 20 quadrillion units, after which it experienced a fluctuation in the range from 16 to 23 quadrillion units, before being expected to remain unchanged at 25 quadrillion units. The figure for hydropower saw similar changes, starting at the shy of 5 quadrillion units, hovering around 3 and 5 quadrillion units before being forecasted to level off at 3 quadrillion units.
