The given line graph illustrates that how much amount of energy is consumed in united states of America from 1980 to 2012,and projected consumption to 2030 and is measured in Quadrillion units.

Overall,renewable resources are stayed low,such as a Nuclear power,Solar/Wind energy,Hydropower when compared to non-renewable resources like Petrol and Oil,Coal,Natural gas over a period of 50 years.Although,there is a usage of nuclear energy sources the US will continue to rely on fossil fuels.

From 1980 to 1987,petrol and oil are the dominant fuel sources throughout this period,with 35 quadrillion (35q)units used in 1980,rising to 42q in the year 2012.Despite all these fluctuation,from 1995 there was a steady increase.This is expected,to continue around 47q in 2030.Coal and Natural gas are similar to each other whereas,initially coal rose to 18q and natural gas fall to 16q.At some point,they both combined in 1985 to 1990 and with some fluctuations coal considerably increased to 31q in 2030.However,gas is depicted to 19q in 2030.In 1980,energy from nuclear,solar/wind and hydropower are started at 4q.Both solar and nuclear powers are steadily increased to 7q and 6q respectively but hydropower fallen back to 1980 figure.It is expected to maintain this level until 2030.
