The graph compares energy consumption from various sources in USA from 1980 to 2030. Looking more closely to the table, it can be seen that there are fluctuating trends is observed by each type of fuel.
According to the figure, Petrol and Oil consumes at the highest level among other fuel types. The trends had fluctuated during 1980 and 1995 at around 35 quadrillion units. Today, the consumption reaches at 40 quadrillion units, and it will be growth 50 quadrillion units in 2030. Another group consists of Coal and Natural Gas, these fuels maintained a middle position. The trend has a considerable similarity until 2015 to 2030. The figure for Coal will overtake Natural Gas’s from 2015 onwards. Nuclear, Solar/Wind and Hydropower had the same energy usage in 1980 at about 4 quadrillion units. By 2030, the consumption of Nuclear will overtake the rest.
In conclusion, Petrol and Oil will be the most used energy, where as Nuclear, Solar/Wind and Hydro will be used the least in the future.
