The line graph illustrates, ingestion of margarine low fat and reduced spreads and butter over 27 years between 1981 and 2007. Units are measured in grams.
Overall, butter experienced a downward trend while low fat and reduced spreads have showed an upward trend and margarine was fluctuating in over the period given.
At the beginning of the period in 1981, butter was consumed 140grams but it reached to peak level which was 160grams in 1986 before it decline dramatically to 50 grams in 2007. The quantity of margarine intake was round about 90 grams in the start though it dropped after 5 years to 80 grams. In 1991 it was on the top which was 100 grams and it remained stable for the coming 5 years but till the final year it was plunged down to 40 grams.
The consumption of low fat and reduced spread start in 1996 which was approximately 10 grams. This figure, reached to a high level in the next five years which was over 80grams well ahead, it slightly decreased to almost 70 grams in 2007.
