The graph below shows the average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph illustrates the amounts of CO2 emitted by each person in four countries over a period of 40 years starting from 1967.
As can be seen from the graph, each Swedish or UK person amounts of CO2 emissions of the UK and Swedish decreasing over the period researched, conversely CO2 emissions in Italy and Portugal showed a rise. So UK citizens are responsible for the most CO2 emission into the environment.
In 1967, about 11 tonnes of CO2 were generated by a UK citizen, followed by 9 tonnes in Sweden. For comparison, each Italian emits more than 4 metric tonnes, about 3.5 metric tonnes of the Portuguese.
From that point on, the average CO2 emissions in the UK gradually decline below 9 tonnes while the figure in Sweden, after increasing by 1 tonne in the first decade, also fell to less than 6 tonnes at the end of the period. In contrast, each person in Italy emits more CO2 with a figure that increased to almost 8 tonnes. In addition, the amounts of emissions in Portugal show a rise of about 6 tonnes in 2007
