The line graph illustrates information about how much fish and various kinds of meat, namely chicken, beef and lamb was consumed per person per week in a European country in over a period of 25 years from 1979 to 2004.

In general, while the amount of chicken consumed increased significantly, the opposite was true for the figures for beef, lamb and fish. Meanwhile, the consumption of fish was lowest.

In 1979, the amount of beef consumed was ranked in first place at about 220 grams per person per week, making it higher than the lamb and chicken consumption, at about 150 grams in each category. Meanwhile, around 60 grams fish was eaten.

Over the period, the amount of chicken which was consumsed rose considerably to around 250 grams in 2004. Conversely, the opposite pattern was seen for the figure for beef which dropped significantly to nearby 110 grams by 2004. Likewise, a substantial decrease to approximately 60 grams was seen in the amount of lamb consumsed. Similarly, there was a slight fall to under 50 grams in the consumption of fish.
