Overall, the wheat exports of European Community experienced an upward trend over the 5-year period. By contrast, Australia saw a downward trend and Canada fluctuated in terms of their wheat exports.

Starting at approximately 17 millions of tonnes in 1985, the number of wheat exported by European Community declined to below 15 millions of tonnes in 1986 and remained stable between 1987 and 1988. After that, there was a rapid grow between 1989 and 1990, standing at just above 20 millions of tonnes in 1990. By contrast, the number of wheat exported by Australia began at 15 million of tonnes in 1985, followed by a slight increase to about 16 millions of tonnes in 1986 and a steady decrease to just above 10 millions of tonnes between 1987 and 1990.

Regarding Canada, it exported approximately 19 millions of tonnes of wheat in 1985, followed by a slight decrease to about 17 millions of tonnes in 1986. It witnessed a sharp increase to 25 millions of tonnes between 1987 and 1988, followed by a rapid drop to below 15 millions of tonnes in 1989. Finally, the Canadian wheat exports climbed to just below 20 millions of tonnes in 1990.
