The given bar graph denotes the proportion of four different means of transportation utilized by people for travel to and from work in a city of Europe in three separate years, namely 1960, 1980, and 2000.

On the whole, as can be seen from the graph, there is a rise in the utilization of car from 1960 to 2000, whereas the bus observed a drop in the percentage of commuters between the given years. Moreover, transport of train and tube underwent fluctuation throughout the period from 1960 to 2000.

Turning to detail, in terms of 1960, the most popularly used transportation is the bus, accounting for roughly 38%. On the contrary, the car witnessed the least statistics in 1960, making up merely 7%. By the same token, the most predominant number fell into the category of car in 2000, comprising nearly 36%. Conversely, the bus saw the least proportion of travellers in the year 2000, taking up 15%.

The most striking point is that the most dramatic gap lied in the transport of car, rising by 30% from between 1960 and 2000. Meanwhile, the tube witnessed the narrowest difference in the proportion, diminishing from 26% in 1960 to 22% in 1980, and rising to 25% by the year 2000.
