The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011

The provided line graph compares three ways (in person, by letter/email, and by telephone) in terms of the ratio of enquiries in a city sent to the Tourist Information Office in the first six months of 2011

Overall, the digit of questions asked in person and by telephone displayed substantial rises while this figure for letter or email declined dramatically. Excluding the first month, enquiring in person and by telephone were considerably more common than the other one.

In January, there were above 400 enquiries sent in person which was the lowest value in three ways while the figures for letter/email and telephone were wildly higher, below 800 and 900 in order. In the following months, the rate of questions asked in person increased sharply before reaching its peak at 1900 in June. In addition, enquiring by telephone also depicted an upward trend after increasing twice from 800 in February to 1600 in June

In contrast, this period saw a considerable decrease in the percentage of enquiries delivered by letter and email. It fell substantially to below 400 in May and then remain stable in the last month.
