The diagram illustrates the proportion of news readers using four different forms of mass media from 1995 to 2025. It is clear from the data that there is a uptrend in the percentage of Internet users, whereas TV, radio, and newspaper keep decreasing significantly
TV was the most popular form of updating news for people in 1995, reaching to 68%. During the same period, there were roughly 55% users of newspapers and radio, while no one use Internet to read news. After a decade, the proportion of Internet users rose slightly to 3% and then continue increasing until the year 2025. There is a downward trend in the others form of update information. In terms of newspaper and radio, the percentage declined constantly to approximately 30%. The proportion of TV users fluctuated from the first 15 years, then it is predicted to fall by 20%.
In conclusion, Internet is expected to be the most popular form of updating news in 2025, while the others form keep decreasing.
