The graph below shows the quantities of goods exported to several countries between 1975 and 2010 by different modes of transport.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given graph depicts tonnes of goods exported from Russia via different transport channels over a period of 35 years.

it is visible from the graph that waterways were the mode of choice in 1975 with 90 million tonnes transported through their channels. There was some fluctuation in the following 10 years and then the tonnage of goods sent via water increased steadily and reached a peak of 130 million tonnes in 2010. The second most preferred method was road, which showed a smart rise in the first 10 years and rose from 60 million tonnes to 80 million tonnes. However, it then stagnated and declined to less than 70 in 2005, followed by a steep rise to 85 million tonnes in 2010

50 million tonnes of goods were transported by railways in 1975, which declined gradually and reached 30 m tonnes in 1995 and then picked up to nearly 60 m tonnes in 2010. With the smallest figure of 18 million tonnes in 1975, the least preferred mode was the air that almost doubled in 2000, followed by a sharp dip in 2005; then it further rose to a peak of 40 million tonnes in 2010.

Finally, the graph reveals that the overall export of Russia has increased in the given period. However, their preferences for modes of exporting goods remained the same with waterways as the first choice and air as the last one.‎
