Given graph depicts the amount of goods transported in UK between 1974 and 2002. Road, water, rail and pipeline are the four diverse sorts of transport whish are illustrated.
Overall, road transportation is the main manner and pipeline has the lowest shares of good transportation, during the so-called interval.
In 1974, road was the predominant technique for good transportation by more than 70 million tonnes and pipeline by less than 5 million tonnes, was at the end of the list. Between these two ways, rail and water has the approximately the same stock of goods transported, nevertheless, in 2002, popularity of transportation by water mode, increased and exceeded from 60 million toones but pipeline mode remained at the same amount of 1974.
Road mode transportation increased consistently, except 1975-1980 and 1992-1995, and it remained the most popular mode among other alternatives, in addition, although pipeline usage as a transport technique increased consistently, it yet was at the end of the list. It is worth to say that, exactly, in the same interval that usage of road for transporting the goods increased, the increasing rate of pipeline was more dramatic than other times.
