The graph below shows trends in US meat and poultry consumption.
The line graph demonstrates the meat and poultry consumption in US from 1955 to 2012. Its measured unit was pounds. Overall, beef got the highest consumption in the united State among four brands of meats whereas the turkey consumming was the smallest in all. There had been a remain constant in the consumption of pork and turkey while eating beef and broilers increased.
It was immediately obvious that the amount of beef eaten rose considerably before reaching a peak to 90 pounds in 1979 and then fell slightly to 50 pounds in 2012. The consumption of broilers experienced a significant rise from 1961 to 2009, followed by a slightly decrease during its period time to 2012. There was stability in the consumtion of pork after flutuating between 1995 and 2000. On the other hand, the number of turkey stayed unchanged over the course of 51 years starting from 1961.
