The graphs below give information about computer ownership as a percentage of the population between 2002 and 2010, and by level of education for the years 2002 and 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar graphs depict the percentage of computer ownership from 2002 to 2010 in comparison to the general population as well as by degree of educational attainment. As illustrated in the given graphs, there is an increase in ownership over the years as well as among people with higher education level.

According to the first graph, in 2002, about 50 percent of the population owned a computer. This number steadily increased over the years reaching above 60 percent in 2006 and, at the end of the period, reached its highest percentage at approximately 70 percent.

The second graph illustrates a direct correlation between computer ownership and educational attainment; i.e., the higher the education level, the bigger is the percentage. In 2002, about 15 percent of high school undergraduates owned a computer compared to about 35 percent among high school graduates. This percentage further increased across education levels with the most computers are owned by postgraduate qualifiers at about 70 percent. A similar trend is noted in 2010 with 40 percent of high school undergraduates owning a computer in contrast to more than 90 percent among postgraduate qualifiers.
