It is clear that the number of users of all services increased during the period shown. In addition, the users of cellular phone service held the first position at the end of the period, despite its second highest statistic in 1998.
In 1998, about 15% of people used landline service to interact with others, then this data reached a peak of 20% in 2006 before a slight drop of 1% in 2008. Moreover, although the values of cellular phone service and Internet service started at the same point at about 5%, that of cellular phone surpassed landline service in 2002 and led in global communication service with 65%, while the figure for Internet service went up moderately by 21% after 10 years.
Furthermore, the fixed broadband and mobile broadband had similar trends in their users’ numbers over the 10-year period. To be more specific, there were marginal growths to 4% in the data of fixed and mobile broadbands, but these services had no users in the first 6 years.
