In the starting month of the year :gold sales was at 200 millions od dirhems (m), which rose slightly to about 220 m by the second month. then there was a sudden rise in the gold sale peaking to 350 m by march, then there was a sudden down fall in april to reach 250 m. the downwards trend followed in the subsequent months and there was a decrease of 50 m every month to reach almost 100m by July 2002 which was the last lowest figure in sales for that year. following this fall there was a slight upwards trend which pushed the sales to above 200m by august, unfortunately the sales dipped again in september to a similar levels seen in July just above 100m. By october the sales stabilised just below 200m which was sustained till the year end in december almost reaching similar figures seen in the starting of the year 2002.
