The line graph shows the oil production and consumption in China between 1982 and 2006

Essay topics:

The line graph shows the oil production and consumption in China between 1982 and 2006.

The graph depicts about how oil consumed and producted in China for a period of 24 years from 1982 to 2006. It can be seen that the amount of oil production and consumption in some periods in China experienced a relatively stability, especially in oil production, although it still had a period of fluctuation, there was not so much. By contrast, the oil consumption in China saw a significant increase in the 12-year period.
Analyzing more the detail, the oil production stood at 2 millions of oil barrels per day in 1982 but just 4 years later, this figure reached 3 millions per day. At the same time, China’s oil consumption was roughly equivalent to that of oil product, reaching 1.9 millions per day. This parity was also witnessed in 1993 when both the oil consumption and production was 3 millions, a slight growth after a period of the volatility of both figures before.
In contrast, looking at the line shows the oil consumption in China, there was an remarkably climb from 1990 to 2006 when the figure grew up 6.2 millions per day in the last period and was three times that of it in 1982. When compared to the amount of oil produced during this period, it seems that the consumption of the Chinese people is much higher.
