The maps illustrate ingormayon about how Stokeford village has developed over 80 year period from 1930 to 2010.
Overall, there have been several changes, being the most noticiable increases in accomadation, the eliminating farmland in 2010. Also, it is obvious from the maps, there is no altertion on main road.
In 1930, to the south west and north east of village where the farmland located, and fed cows. Moreover, road run through Stokeford from north to south. West side of road mainly primary school and gardens were situated and there was farmland next to primary school. On the west side of road, there was running river which was called River Stoke, and additionally farmland , the post office were located west side of road and there were also shops and large houses near it.
Turning to the 2010 year map, it can be seen that, gardens and big houses were removed and were replaced them with retirement apartments. The post office remained and noticiable thing that new houses were built along the road. New roads were created beside main road in order to reach some area. Although, the old building of primary school reamined, new ones were buit near its sides.
