The presented line chart illustrates the proportion of visitors to England coming to Brighton attractions, namely Art Gallery, Pavillion, Pier and Festival in 30 years.
It can be seen clearly that Pavillion is the place where it has the highest percentage of tourists coming; meanwhile, the lowest number belongs to Art Gallery.
In 1980, the number of visitors arriving at Pier and Art Gallery constituted 10% and 20%. After that, Art Gallery experienced a significant rise in the proportion of tourists coming, at nearly 40% while that of in Pier increased slightly from 10% to 15% in 1985. There were the slight drops of 20% and 10% respectively in the percentage of visitors to Art Gallery and Pier in 1990. The next 15 years, both had ups and downs in the tendency and cut each other at 15% in 2005. Then, the number of people visiting Art Gallery fell out under 10%, less than 10% in Pier.
The percentage of tourists who came to Pavillon stayed above 20%, less than 8% in Festival in 1980. They had the same proportion (nearly 30%) in 1985 and then, moving in the different ways. The percentage of people who joined in Pavillion reached at peak (approximately 50%) in 1995; whereas, Festival saw a decrease from 30% to 25% at the same time. In the last 15 years, the number of visitors coming to Festival was stable at 28% while that of in Pavillion reached its lowest level in 2010 at 30%.
