The pie charts illustrate the number of people in 1900 and 2000 is devided into 7 areas around the world, namely Asia, Europe, North America, Africa, Latin America, Middle East and North Africa, and others.
It can be seen clearly that Asia had the highest population compare to 5 areas, and the lowest percentage belonged to Others. Besides, the world population increased significantly from 1900 to 2000.
In 1900, the number of residents is 1.6 billion, and Asian was 60 percent. Europe (including Russia) stayed at the second, at 25%, fifth as much as North America. Meanwhile, Latin America and Others were the areas where the population was lowest, at 3%.
In 2000, the world experienced a fast rise in the number of people, about 6 billion. Asia was still crowdest area than ones, comprised of 54 percent. Europe (including Russia) moderately decreased 9% in 2000 compared to in 1900. On the other hand, Middle East and North Africa appeared in the second chart and constituted 6%, twice as much as Others.
