The pie chart below shows the main reasons why agricultural land becomes less productive. The table shows how these causes affected three regions of the world during the 1990s.

From the diagram, it can be illustrated that land degradation has occured due to many factors such as, deforestration (that is 30%), over-grazing (that is 35%), over-cultivation (that is 28%), and other factors (that are 7%).
These causes have affected three regions of the world according to the table. Deforestration has higher percentage in Europe compared to other two regions that is 9.8%, same is the case with over-cultivation that is 7.7%. But it can be inferred from the given data that over-grazing is higher in Oceania than North America and Europe. The total land degradation has higher rate firstly in Europe, secondly in Oceania and thirdly in North America. North America has low deforestration rate which is 0.2% and amazingly Oceania has 0% over-cultivation rate, while North America stands at second position.
