The given circular charts highlight the information about the production of electricity by two different countries- Germany and France from three different sources during the year 2009. The data is calibrated in per centum which is clearly and coherently representated.

It can be seen that Germany produced 560 billion kWh of electricity in 2009, out of which 59% was generated by conventional thermal and 23% by nuclear power. Moreover, 17.4% of the total electricity had been produced with the help of renewables. Apart from all this, the electricity produced by renewables contained Biomass- 39.3%, Wind- 36.9%, Solar energy- 6.1%, and Hydroelectric power- 17.7% respectively.

As far as trend was concerned, France generated less electricity than Germany about 510 billion kWh in maximum proportion (76%) was generated by nuclear energy. In addition to this, conventional thermal had been produced 10.3% of the total whereas renewables produced 13.7% electricity. Furthermore, the ratio of renewable sources: biomass, wind, and Hydroelectric was 8.1:10.5:80.5 percent respectively.

Overall it is evident that Germany produced more amount of electricity than France. Also, Germany used more thermal whereas more nuclear power was been consumed by France to produce electricity.
