The pie charts below show units of electricity production by fuel source in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pie graphs depict the total electricity produced from five different sources of fuel in Australia and France between 1980 and 2000. Overall, coal energy made up the majority of the total production in Australia, while nuclear energy production drastically increased in France.
In Australia, the original units of coal were just 50 before rising nearly three times (130) four decades later. Hydro power energy experienced the same trend as its units increased from 20 to 36 at the end of the period. The units of natural gas and oil rapidly declined after 40 years, from 20 and 10 at first to 2 in 2000, respectively.
In France, nuclear power seemed to take up significantly more of the energy industry as its units rose from 15 to 126. In comparison, oil units slightly increased from 20 to 25, while coal units still remained at 25 over the years. Hydro power seemed to be no longer used, while the units of natural gas noticeably fell to approximately 2 in 2000.
