The pie charts compare ways of accessing the news in Canada and Australia Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The pie charts depicting the prevalence of a range of methods by which people can keep themselves well-informed in Canada and Australia.

Overall, Australia depends on fewer modes of new-accessing than Canada. Moreover, the main ways of staying up-to-date in those aforementioned countries are by going online and watching TV.

As per the chart, a prominent number of Australians keep themselves away from living under the rock by reading articles on the Internet, and this crosses the halfway mark with 52%. In this country, reading online news is also 15% more pervasive than getting hold of information through TV. Furthermore, Australia also witnessed the same proportion of people listening to the radio and those who get day-to-day information through unspecified sources with just under 5%.

The notion is slightly different for Canada as the number of individuals obtaining news from TV almost equalizes those who get them from online sources with each category accounting for 40% and 36%, respectively. In addition, the share of people reading prints doubles that of Australia with merely 15%. Last but not least, although listening to the radio in Canada is more widely known than that in Australia, this share only takes up approximately one-tenth of the overall proportion within the nation.
