The table and chart below show the time spent at leisure and household activities in Britain

The diagrams illustrate the time women and men in Britain allocate for leisure activities and household activities.
A cursory glance at the diagram is enough to make clear that the time both men and women spend on TV, video and radio is the highest compared to reading and sport.
According to the table, it is manifest that the time spent on reading between these genders is nearly the same (18 and 19 minutes per day respectively). Meanwhile, the time which men spend on reading is less than women do, which is 15 minutes per day for men and 11 minutes per day for women. In addition, there is a significant difference between the amount of time men and women spend on TV, video and radio between two genders, which is 137 minutes for men and 118 minutes for women.
As can be seen from the bar chart, the time women allocate for household activities is much higher than man, except for repairing. To be more specific, women spend roughly 75 minutes to cook and wash, whereas men spend just half of an hour to do this activity. Coming to clothes washing and ironing, men just spend 10 minutes per day to do this activity while women devote 30 minutes daily for it. Similarly, the amount of time women use to go shopping is lower than 40 minutes which is higher than this of men (nearly 25 minutes per day). Another thing to add is that repairing has the least amount of time spent on by females and males which is around 10 and 20 minutes a day.
