The two tables compares the amount of money accrued from coffee and bananas sold by Fairtrade between 1999 and 2004 in five European countries.

Overall, in 1999, Switzerland recorded high sales rate of coffee, while Sweden has the least amount of money accrued. Five years later, there was a huge increase in coffee sales in UK, as all other countries' sales rose marginally. In terms of bananas, UK has the highest sales rate throughout the given periods, whilst Denmark has insignificant sales in 1999, then overtaken by Sweden in 2004. Generally, the amount of money accumulated from bananas increase for 3 countries only, as 2 of them recorded a decline in sales.

It is noticeable, in 1999, the country which recorded high sales of coffee was Switzerland, at 3 million euros, as Sweden had the least sales of 0.8 million euros. moreover, in 2004, UK has majority of sales of 20 million euros which accrued from 1.5euros in 1999, as Sweden remained with insignificant sales of 1 million euros in 2004. There was a general increase in sales of coffee for all countries, with UK and Switzerland having more than 100% rise in sales. The sales of coffee in UK halved that of Switzerland in 1999.

Furthermore, UK has the greatest amount of money accumulated from bananas in 1999 and 2004, which increased significantly from 15 million euros to 47 million euros respectively. Denmark had the least sales of bananas in 1999 of 0.6million euros, whilst in 2004, it was experienced by Sweden with 0.9 million euros. UK, Switzerland and Denmark had a significant rise in banana sales from 1999 to 2004, comparing with Belgium and Sweden which experienced a slight decline in 2004. Of note, UK had higher sales rate for coffee and bananas for the given period, while Sweden has a lower sales rate.
