The table below gives information on consumers spending on different items in five different countries in 2002.

The provided table illustrates the proportion of money
spent by consumers on three different genere of items
in five distinct nations namely Ireland, Italy, Spain,
Sweden and Turkey in 2002.
As it is presented in table, people in Turkey were more
fond of food, drink and tobacco followed by Ireland
and the expenditure was recorded nearly one-third in
both the countries. On the other hand, other countries
invested less than two- fift for the same purpose.
Conversly, least money was spent on leisure and edu‐
cation, which was accounted for under 5% for all the
countries, however highest ( 4.35%) money was spend
by Turkey, which was double that of spain( 1.98%).

items were at 9% in Italy and 5.40% in Sweden. The
national expenditure in this area for the remaining
nations was averaged arround 6%.
Overall, it is explicitly seen that maximum amount of
money was spent on food, drinks and tabacco by all
five countries. While, lowest spending was seen in the
category of leisure and education. However, outlay
of Turkey was generally higher than the other four nations.
