Given is the line chart compares four sectors in terms of acid rain emission in the UK during 17 years from 1990 to 2007.
It is clear that the total amount of acid rain emission in the UK fell considerably between 1990 and 2007. The most dramatic decrease was seen in the electricity, gas and water supply.
In 1991, around 3.3 million tonnes of acid emissions came from electricity, gas and water supply, followed by other industries with 2.1 million tonnes. Ranking the third position was transport and communication with 0.7 million tones. Just over 0.6 million tons of acid rain came from domestic.
In 2007, there was a grammatical decrease by 2.7 million tons in the amount of emission acid rain of the electricity, gas and water supply. A similar decreasing trend was repeated in other countries and domestic as there were 2 and 0.7 million tones of emission as respective. While acid rain from the transport and communication sector remained unchanged during 17 years.
