(task 1)Amount spent on consumer goods
The bar chart compares the consumption of six items in four countries, which are Germany, Italy, France, and Britain.
Overall, it is clear that people in Britain spend more money on photographic film on all six goods than other three nations. Of all six items, consumers as a whole pay out higher expenses on photographic film.
Looking at the chart in more detail, British people consume the highest figure of all products especially on photographic film, at over 170 thousand pounds. By contrary, Germans are the lowest overall spenders, with roughly the same figure (just under 150 thousand pounds) for each of the goods.
The amount of money spent on toys are the same in both France and Italy, at just below 160 thousand pounds. While people in Italy purchase more in personal stereo, tennis racquets, and perfumes, French people have higher expenditure in CDs and photographic film. The expense of tennis racquets for France is the lowest figure shown on the chart, at around 145 thousand pounds.
