TOEFL essay:Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Face-to-face communication is better than other types of communication, such as letters, email, or telephone calls. Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

Essay topics

The digital age has changed the way we communicate. People around the world can contact each other, using phones, emails or different Apps. And in this hyperconnected world, face contact is definitely not dead in fact, it is even more valuable. Although face contact is much more effective than other ways of communication, contacting via emails or over the phones is more convenient.
Face contact is more deep and intimate than other communication methods. In face contact, facial expressions and body language can help with building an impactful conversation. Besides, face contact seems more friendly, this way people can build a relationship. Actually what can get through face contact is more than what it can get over the phone or on a computer.
When people can not reach each other, technology offers telephones and computers as the alternatives. It means these are not totally compensated for the face contact. Sometimes people need to get in touch several times within a specific time, it is especially common in business, then face contact is literally not appropriate. Basically, it is a waste of time and money, especially for long distances. While face contact will face the limitation of time and money, then telephones and computers can do this easier, faster and cheaper.
In my opinion, there is no affirmative answer to this question. both methods are vital in different situations. For example, for communicating with family and friends, face contact is crucial. It keeps people close and satisfies their emotional and social needs. It helps to keep people mentally and even physically healthy. And phones or emails can complement it. In the business, phone calls and emails are crucial, even if seen more precisely it is not wrong to say it makes business possible.
