The given maps illustrate the changes made to parking and road accessibility to a city hospital, over a period of time from 2007 to 2010.Overall, the road facility to the city hospital was improved so as to ensure smooth flow of vehicles to the hospital by constructing roundabouts at the junctions. Further, parking space was significantly increased within this period.
In 2007, there was not any roundabout at the junction,as compared to 2010. Two roundabouts were constructed at the junctions, to the south of the city hospital. The ring road around the hospital remained unchanged by the end of 2010,as it was in 2007.
Moreover,in 2010, much improvement was made to the vehicle parking space. A significantly large public parking was constructed to the east of the hospital, just by the ring road.After the addition of this parking space,the combined parking for staff and public park was then used as staff car parking only. The bus stop within the car parking was removed and a new bus station was constructed in 2010. The bus station connects roundabout to the ring road to the hospital and to the city road. As a result, the traffic movement was made easier and efficient in 2010 as compared to that in 2007.
