The diagram indicates how many minutes was spent on three different call types in Britain, local, national/ international and mobiles, respectively over the 8 years from 1995 to 2002.
Overall, the popularity of local call type among people did not significant changed in the given time-frame, whereas spending time on national, international as well as mobile calls increased significantly over the period.
One type of fixed line call which is called local type, showed around 70 billion minutes call time in the 1995. In the next 4 years this number rose and reached a peak, 90 billion minutes in 1999, after this growth a dramatic decrease was observed until the end of period.
On the other hand, at the beginning of the period another fixed line, national/ international call time was calculated as 37 billion minutes, this number started to rise year by year and stopped, approximately, at 60 billion minutes in 2002. Likewise, mobile calls showed a dramatic increment in the given timescale, from 1 billion minutes to 45 billion minutes.
