Two pie charts compares the percentage of English students who could speak second language except English in a UK university between 2000 and 2010.
It is clear that Spanish was the language which most students able to speak other than English while the lowest percentage belonged to German in both years.
In 2000, 30% of students could speak Spanish only as the second language which followed by the proportion of no other language with 20%. Two other language and German were the languages spoken at least with just the same figure (10%). Additionally, French had 15% of all which was identical with the number of students who spoke another language.
After a decade, Spanish was still the most popular second language while German still had the smallest pie with only 10% which was the same with the percentage of French only and no other language. The proportions of two languages and another language both increase 5% to 15% and 20% respectively.
