Every country should have a free health service, even if this means that the latest medical treatments may not be available through the service because they are too expensive.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Health facilities is one of the most basic requirement for each and every individual of any country. Each nation needed to provide this service without any cost, although if it is difficult to deliver modern medical service due to higher cost involvement, a standard level of facilities need to offer. Even though it might be huge cost oriented arrangement to setup a public health facilities with most advance service, a certain level of treatment should be available for all without cost, specially for poor group of people.
There is no doubt that medical support is one of the most essential need for each citizen of a country because it is undeniable and a mended service by the government. The authority should have scheme to offer this health facilities free of cost, specially for the poor group of people. This portion of the population has the right to have a standard life style which will not be possible without proper health support. So lack financial ability should not be the constrain for enjoy this health benefits. As for instance, providing emergency maternity service is one of the major need of female population, in which every patient must have access even if they are not capable for baring the expenses.
However, delivering public health facilities is aimed to provide most efficient service with latest treatments, due to the fact that of huge cost related to latest technology, it might be tough for the authority to provide this without cost. To resolve this issue there could be a trade off between cost and level of service. For the higher income people it might be as paid service which will not be the case for other lower income peoples. Considering the situation this deprived social group need to have a minimum satisfactory and safe care facilities that might be subsidized by government authority or by trust fund. In fact the life and healthy living of country people can not be compromise because of money constraints, they are chartered to enjoy this facility. For example, Cancer is one of the most expansive and life threatening disease nowadays which beyond the capacity of poor people for lack of finance. This should be address by the government to deliver a standard service at national level either by subsidy or other financial arrangement.
To conclude , it can be summarized that citizen health scheme should be deliver by government at free of cost. In case of huge cost related to the emergency support, there should have initiatives at institution level to ensure the service in my opinion.
