The pie charts below show the spending of a school in the UK from 1981 to 2001.

The graphs represent the spending distribution of a particular school in Britain between 1981 and 2001.
Overall, despite fluctuating on a different scale, the proportion of teachers’ salaries, furniture and equipment, and Insurance increased, whereas that of resources and other workers’ salaries decreased. Furthermore, teachers’ salaries consisted of the largest proportion while insurance comprised the smallest one.
Teachers’ salaries were the major spending of this school, which occupied 40% in 1981, rose dramatically and making up half in 1991 before witnessing a moderate decrease of 5% in the next decade. Similarly, despite plunging by 10% from 1981 to 1991, the figure for furniture and equipment soared by 18%, leading this item to become the second largest spending in 2001. Insurance which accounted for the smallest percentage of school spending, have a consistent increase from merely 2% to 8% over 20 years.
The reversed pattern was reflected in others. Accounting for 28% of total spending in 1981, other workers’ salaries underwent a significant decline in the distribution, by 13% in 2001. After a considerate rise by 5% in the first decade, the proportion of resource plummeted to only 9% in the next 10 years.
